STORE MANAGER

The Store Manager is an integral part of our KENT leadership teams. They are responsible for all operations within the store including delivering financial results, managing associate performance, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace through employee engagement and store events.

This position will also be responsible for the management of our back-end business including our dispatch and shipping departments, and delivery fleet.

What you will do:

  1. Understand and communicate business decisions and results using financial tools and business acumen.
  2. Manage inventory levels at the store by working with the replenishment team and the office manager.
  3. Work with the Fleet Coordinator to manage the delivery fleet to ensure safety protocols are followed and customer issues are resolved.
  4. Be the leader for change management in the store when implementing process improvements and alternative solutions to support the business.
  5. Participate in the recruitment process of new store associates.
  6. Coach and develop associate performance by providing one-on-one mentoring and goal setting.
  7. Promote safety in the store by actively participating in Health and Safety events and collaborating with the safety team.
  8. Build and nurture interpersonal relationships amongst store associates.

What you will bring:
  1. Minimum 5+ years of operational management experience.
  2. Experience in fleet management and shipping is an asset.
  3. Knowledge of building supplies is an asset.
  4. Experience working in a safety-conscious environment and adhering to safety protocols is an asset.
  5. Knowledgeable in diverse HR regulations.
  6. Ability to navigate and manage high-pressure situations by seeing the bigger picture and implications of their decisions.
  7. Skilled in leveraging market and financial trends to forecast sales targets and delivery needs.
  8. Ability to manage a high-velocity workplace through critical thinking skills and business acumen.
  9. Ability to proactively look forward in order to drive business results and minimize risks through continuous improvement.
  10. Effective communication skills with the ability to adjust based on your audience.
  11. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  12. Exceptional customer service skills.
  13. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
