What You’ll Be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect, service, and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including (but not limited to) earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
  2. Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and make required repairs
  3. Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  4. Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a thorough and timely manner
  5. Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies
What You’ll Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. 1 to 3 years of mechanical experience
  2. Experience working on construction equipment is an asset
  3. Valid G license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract is an asset (but not required)
  4. Must have a complete set of tools (or must be working on building a complete toolset)
  5. Strong desire to learn and develop as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
  6. Understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools as well as being capable of reading schematics
  7. Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills
  9. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner
  10. Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  11. Willing to work overtime and occasional Saturday shifts (when required)
  12. Pride in what you do
