Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth research on assigned themes, contributing valuable review / research articles to the thematic issue.
Synthesize relevant literature to identify research gaps and build upon current knowledge.
Generate innovative ideas and theories to advance understanding within the chosen thematic area.
Ensure adherence to ethical standards in research and address conflicts of interest.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and related fields of research will be preferred.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Awareness of ethical research practices.

About this Thematic Issue: Molecular Recognition of Supramolecular Sensors and Assemblies
Undoubtedly, molecular recognition plays a central role in the development of supramolecular chemistry or host-guest chemistry, and much of the associated research has focused on the hosts (or receptors) for selective recognition of specific guests including cations, anions, pH, biological species, etc. These synthetic host molecules (e.g. various macrocycles, foldamers, small-molecule-based receptors), which are always functionalized with luminescent moieties, can always give discernible optical and/or physical responses when they bind to a specific guest via the perturbation of a range of photoinduced and binding processes, enabling these hosts to become colorimetric and/or fluorescent supramolecular sensors. On the other hand, supramolecular self-assembly is based on the formation of highly ordered nanostructures including vesicles, micelles, gels, films, photonic crystals and so forth through non-covalent interactions, causing the appearance of various appealing stimulus-responsive properties. So far, many supramolecular sensors and assembled nanomaterials rationally designed for real-time tracking have been developed for various applications, such as sensing and bioimaging, environmental analysis, disease diagnostics, etc.

Current Organic Chemistry aims to provide in-depth/mini-reviews on the current progress in various fields related to organic chemistry, including bioorganic chemistry, organo-metallic chemistry, asymmetric synthesis, heterocyclic chemistry, natural product chemistry, catalytic and green chemistry, up-to-date synthetic approaches, flow chemistry, suitable aspects of medicinal chemistry and polymer chemistry, as well as analytical methods in organic chemistry. It also covers topics related to structures, properties, and reactivities of synthetic and natural organic compounds, and to reaction mechanisms. Articles related to hydrocarbons are also included.

This journal is indexed in Scopus, PubMed/Medline, Web of Science Core Collection (Clarivate), etc. It has a JCR Impact Factor of 2.6.
