Join Our Team: Family Physician Wanted at Mid Main Community Health Centre
About Us: At Mid-Main Community Health Centre, we’re more than just a healthcare clinic; we’re a vibrant team of passionate individuals dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of our patients and community. As a family physician, your role will be crucial in providing comprehensive healthcare services to our diverse patient population and contributing to our mission of improving community health. Mid-Main Community Health Centre is a community-governed, non-profit society offering a range of services, including full-scope family practice, dental services, pharmacy, and a parent support program for parents with children 0-3 years old.
The Opportunity:We’re seeking 1-2 compassionate, dedicated providers to join our dynamic and growing primary care team, which includes (7) Family Physicians, (2) Nurse Practitioners, (2) Registered Nurses, and (5) Medical Office Assistants. Our medical clinic has eight exam rooms, a collaborative clinician space, additional administrative offices for virtual and telehealth visits, and an on-site clinical pharmacist. The clinic hours are currently Mon-Fri, 9 am-6 pm, with extended hours on Tuesdays (8 am- 8 pm) and Saturdays, 10 am-4 pm. That said, our scheduling is flexible, and we can work with providers to determine a schedule that works for them based on room availability.

We’re using Oscar OSP and Cortico online booking system.
Your Role:We want to grow our team by 1 or 2 providers, and we’re specifically seeking a family physician to take over a partial panel of one of our regarded long-term physicians who is looking to transition into retirement within the next year. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the physician while you build out your panel to ensure a smooth handover.
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Provide full-spectrum family medicine, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Engage in shared decision-making with patients, fostering a holistic approach to health.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.
- Participate in community outreach and health promotion initiatives.
- After-hours on-call rotation shared on a 1:9 rotation.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to continue to improve patient outcomes and patient/provider experience. Have an innovative idea to help improve the lives of the community we serve? We will help you make it happen.
Qualifications & Experience
- Physician registered in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C., certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
- A background in working with youth, mental health, addictions, refugees and frail elderly desired.
- Experience or training in quality improvement is an asset.
