CLINICAL CRISIS WORKER
Full-time Position in Timmins
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Crisis Worker position is to provide crisis assessments to children and youth up to 18 years of age who are at risk of harm resulting from suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviours and homicidal ideation, which is manifested in a threat or act of bodily harm to others.
Additional responsibilities include single sessions, counselling, support and clinical assessments to address identified behavioural, social and emotional needs of children, adolescents (up to eighteen (18) years of age) and their family support systems who require short term supports. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful and innovative, working within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):
• At minimum, must have a B.A. in Psychology (3 years).
• Clinical skills in the area of children’s mental health with a particular focus on crisis intervention (ASIST model).
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other professionals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Bilingualism is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and use of own vehicle.

INTERVENANTE CLINIQUE EN MATIÈRE DE CRISE

La responsabilité principale d’un ou d’une intervenante clinique en matière de crise, c’est de fournir des évaluations en situation de crise aux enfants et aux jeunes jusqu’à 18 ans qui sont à risque de préjudice en raison d’idées suicidaires, de comportements d’automutilation et d’idées de meurtre, qui se manifestent par une menace ou un acte de dommages corporels à l’égard d’autrui.
Les responsabilités supplémentaires comprennent les séances uniques, le counseling, le soutien et les évaluations cliniques pour répondre aux besoins comportements, sociaux et affectifs cernés chez les enfants, les adolescents (jusqu’à dix-huit [18] ans) et leur réseau de soutien familial qui nécessitent des soutiens de courte durée. La candidate choisie sera motivée, débrouillarde et innovatrice ou le candidat choisi sera motivé, débrouillard et innovateur en travaillant avec une équipe multidisciplinaire dynamique de professionnels.
EXIGENCES DE L’EMPLOI (QUALITÉS ET COMPÉTENCES REQUISES):
• Au minimum, doit être titulaire d’un B.A. en psychologie (3 ans).
• Des compétences cliniques dans le domaine des services de santé mentale aux enfants avec un point de mire particulier sur l’intervention en situation de cris (modèle ASIST).
• La capacité de travailler avec efficacité et en collaboration avec d’autres professionnelles et professionnels.
• D’excellentes aptitudes à communiquer, un excellent entregent et un excellent sens de l’organisation.
• Le bilinguisme est requis.
• Un permis de conduire valide et l’utilisation de son propre véhicule.
