Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, activate, and mend control equipment and systems.
- Inspect, uphold, diagnose, fine-tune, and mend control instruments.
- Calibrate components and instruments in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices along with precise measuring instruments to assess the performance of instruments and systems, identifying faults.
- Establish procedures for testing and maintaining instruments used in measuring and regulating parameters like flow, level, pressure, temperature, paper quality, etc., in manufacturing and processing.
- Rectify and fine-tune system elements such as sensors, transmitters, and components, or replace faulty parts.
- Carry out regular preventive maintenance tasks and compile reports on testing and maintenance.
- Install control and measurement instruments on both existing and new plant equipment and processes.
- Collaborate within a team to offer production line support in resolving breakdowns.
- Adhere strictly to acts, regulations, and codes governing facilities, equipment, environmental protection, and Health and Safety.
- Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (Metso).
- Knowledge of PLCs is considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Instrument Mechanic role.
- Possession of an Industrial Instrument Mechanic Trade Certification (447A).
