About the Role:

Working closely with Project Managers and senior field technologists to perform activities such as:

  1. Groundwater monitoring
  2. Soil sampling
  3. Air monitoring
  4. Test pitting
  5. Borehole drilling
  6. Groundwater monitoring well installation
  7. Surveying
  8. Construction environmental monitoring
  9. Data tabulation
  10. Environmental data interpretation
  11. Coordination with field subcontractors

Responsibility for adhering to health and safety plans and quality processes on all work, project, and reports.

Writing quick, clear, and concise reports to clearly describe observations and work activities in writing, and providing regular and succinct phone or e-mail communications to senior staff, from the field.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or technical diploma in engineering or geoscience.
  • Preferred: 3 years industry experience within contaminated sites or engineering/environmental consulting.
  • Ability to be registered as a Professional (EIT or GIT) is preferable.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working with small tools or environmental equipment (e.g., water quality meters, air monitoring equipment, etc.).
  • Proficient with computers and various programs (Word, Excel, ESdat).
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work with intermediate and senior staff and within project teams on various projects of differing complexity.
  • Ability to work effectively with environmental subcontractors.
  • Willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions for potentially long periods at a time.
  • Willingness to travel and work in potentially remote locations.
  • Willingness to work on boats.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and hit the ground running on a wide variety of projects.
