Tasks:
  1. Conduct economic and technical feasibility studies
  2. Conduct research into the development or improvement of chemical engineering processes, reactions and materials
  3. Design and test chemical processing and associated plants and equipment
  4. Develop guidelines and specifications for the handling of dangerous chemicals, environmental protection, or standards for foods, materials and consumer goods
  5. Establish and conduct quality control programs, operating procedures and control strategies
  6. Evaluate chemical process technology and equipment and determine production specifications
  7. Oversee the construction, modification, operation and maintenance of pilot plants, processing units or processing plants
  8. Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders
  9. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers
  10. Load chips, sulphur and processing materials
Supervisory Experience:

Computer-aided design (CAD), AutoCAD, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Programmable logic controller (PLC), Programming software

Additional Sector Experience:

Water treatment, Oilfield construction industry

Area of Work Experience:

Design, Installation, maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities, Operations or production, Project management, Quality assurance or control, Research and development

Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury:

Processing or operating experience, Amine gas treatment

Specialization or Experience:

Chemical engineering, Process control, Process design or development, Environment or pollution control, Industrial chemistry, Petrochemicals, Operations management, Economic specialization, Simulation techniques, Security and safety, Criminal record check
