Healthcare Environmental Services Manager

Aramark is recruiting a Healthcare EVS Manager for an acute care facility in the Greater Toronto Area. The Healthcare EVS Manager is responsible for developing and executing facility solutions to ensure health and safety and quality and infection control standards are met in the cleaning and disinfecting of acute care areas.
The Healthcare EVS Manager is accountable for providing leadership, vision, and direction to the staff, program and department while adhering to the core values of the facility. Assists in providing strategic direction regarding the department's mandate, focus, and service delivery model and leadership to the department and organization in several key areas including short- and long-term capital planning, enhancement, and improvements
Responsible to lead the operations of the facility by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations.
Lead a team of unionized support service staff to clean and disinfect medical equipment, patient rooms, treatment and operating rooms, emergency department and other acute care areas
Follow Provincial Infectious Disease Advisory Committee (PIDAC) guidelines to provide and ensure a clean, safe, and sterile environment for patients, visitors, and staff
Ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the unit
Implement and maintain agenda for labour and total quality management KPI requirements
Build revenue and manage budget that includes cost controls for labour, supply, and inventory
Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls and profit management
Understand performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends; Post-secondary degree or diploma Environmental, Sciences, or Business is preferred
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Healthcare Environmental Services
Minimum of 2 year's supervisory or management experience in a similar setting is required
Experience managing unionized staff and familiarity with Collective Agreements is preferred
Models key leadership behaviours, and ensures the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence are delivered
