Our Vancouver team thrives on multi-disciplinary engagement while practicing at the intersection of architecture and urban design and are distinguished by our creative and intellectual curiosity.

The current compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $85,000 CAD annually, dependent on education and experience.

As an Architectural Sustainability Analyst, you will…

  • Be responsible for developing project specific analysis (including Whole Building LCA, daylighting, view out) in the support of defining the sustainable vision and project goals.
  • Produce design drawings, presentation drawings, graphic design work, and digital and physical modeling in support of Architecture, Urban Design, and Interior Design, as well as marketing efforts.
  • Perform rudimentary architectural assignments and work collaboratively with others toward design solutions.
  • Liaise with external and internal consultant teams to develop design strategies that meet the sustainable vision and project goals.
  • Coordinate and document LCAs (and other documentation) for LEED, Fitwel, ILFI and other sustainable certifications.
  • Support the delivery of projects based in Canada and the US in their pursuit of higher building performance.
  • Support benchmarking and iterative modeling to drive carbon reduction strategies.
  • Support the development of sustainable performance goals in the Vancouver office and ZGF US offices.
Qualifications:
  • Professional Architectural degree with 2-5 years of experience supporting sustainability projects deliveries, including certification documentation (LEED, WELL, Fitwel) and sustainable analysis (including Whole Building LCA, daylighting, view out).
  • Ability to present analytical results to project teams and clients to bridge between technical analysis and practical decision-making.
  • Architectural experience working with complex multi-phased higher education, large transit, healthcare, civic and/or commercial development projects is desired.
  • Experience using Whole Building LCA tools including Tally, OneClick, EC3, and Athena. Along with experience using DIVA, Climate Studio, LightStanza, IES, or other sustainable performance building analysis software.
  • Proficient in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper for Rhino, Adobe Suite, and MS Office Suite.
  • Thrives in a project-driven, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks with ease.
  • Excels in collaborative environments, actively contributing to group goals, fostering a positive team spirit, and valuing diverse perspectives.
  • Demonstrates a high level of creativity and the ability to consistently generate original ideas and solutions.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and process standardization.
  • A willingness to learn and demonstrates a strong ability to take initiative and anticipate needs, often going above and beyond to address challenges and opportunities before they arise.
