Certified Millwright

Brockport Home Systems Ltd. is looking for a Certified Millwright Mechanic to join our team in Etobicoke.

Brockport Home Systems Ltd. is one of Canada’s first construction companies dedicated to advancing the design, manufacture, delivery and construction process of floor, wall, and roof components for the home building industry.

As a member of our maintenance team, you will report to the Controls Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for ensuring our equipment is maintained to support production demands and complete repairs, where required. We are looking for an individual to who is self-motivated and adapts well to a fast-paced environment. Following safe work practices and procedures is essential to achieve success in this role.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Support production in the day-to-day operation with troubling and repairs of automated equipment;
  
  
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections of equipment and facility;
  
  
• Use tools to fabricate fixtures and machine components;
  
• Support in the diagnosis and analysis and assisting with repairs of equipment in the plant.;
  
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules as required;
  
• Work with Controls Engineer in a trouble-shooting capacity;
  
• Assist with modifying machinery and equipment as directed;
  
• Suggest preventative measures to minimize or eliminate breakdowns;
  
• Assist in the installation of equipment and re-siting of equipment;
  
• Prepare preventative maintenance program for all processing equipment is performed on established timelines;
  
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and Environmental laws where applicable;
  
• Promote and comply with safety standards, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices and the observance of protective equipment requirements;
  and
• Any other reasonable duty required by Management.

Requirements:

• Millwright mechanic experience in automated manufacturing environment.
• Advanced mechanical, electrical skills;
  
  
• Familiarity with pneumatics and production machines is an asset;
  
  
• Practical knowledge and experience in preventative maintenance procedures;
  
  
• Ability to usePLC program is an asset;
  
  
• Willingness towork any shifts;
  
  
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and industrial workplace practices;
  
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
