Technical Program Director (Global Technology and Solutions)

SLT is looking for a Technical Program Director who is creative, experienced, hands-on and knowledgeable about localization technology and solutions as well as multilingual data and AI in LLMs. Reporting directly to the CTO, the TPD will lead an internal team of developers and a technical solutioning team and collaborate with external technology vendors to create technical solutions. The TPD will work with technical PMs and Data & AI scientists at the customer side to build and implement technical solutions. This role is both external and internal facing and requires both client management and team management experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Define strategy on the development and execution of technical solutions in the area of multilingual AI and Data and Localization.
  2. Partner with other stakeholders across SLT to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  3. Work on prompt engineering, fine-tuning, optimizations, and deployment of various LLMs (Llama, Claude, Mistral, Chat GPT, Gemini...).
  4. Frontend with clients on sales calls to understand their technical solution requirements and work with teams to plan, develop, and implement solutions.
  5. Collaborate closely with a team of PMs, developers, and external partners to deliver solutions in operations.
  6. Deploy machine learning and natural language processing technology.
  7. Provide visibility to leadership on all aspects of technology solutions.
Skills:
  1. Up to speed with all new developments in and around LLMs and LAMs.
  2. Experience working with ML-based systems in Deep Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, LLM, Generative Models.
  3. Basic understanding of RAG, Knowledge Graphs, text-to-SQL, ... solutions.
  4. Software development background, and in delivering large cross-functional programs.
  5. Analytical and possess problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  2. 4+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, with a focus on MT, AI, NLP.
  3. Strong understanding of DevOps/SRE principles and practices.
