Regina, Canada Federated Co-operatives Limited Full time

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring multiple Project Engineers on a permanent basis to work on our exciting Energy Roadmap Project. This position is based in Regina, SK.

The Co-op Energy Roadmap is our most ambitious transition plan yet, driving us toward a low-carbon future by 2040. This project is set to reshape the energy landscape and empower communities across Western Canada to embrace a more sustainable tomorrow. You’ll be part of an innovative and highly impactful effort across two cutting-edge streams:

  • Carbon Capture Initiatives: Working with advanced carbon capture technology, we’re removing CO₂ emissions from post-combustion flue gas exhaust produced by two hydrogen reformers. You’ll be involved in compressing the captured CO₂ and preparing it for offsite transport to a dedicated deep-well sequestration site—helping us make significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint.
  • Co-Processing Projects: As part of this pioneering effort, you’ll work on co-processing renewable and petroleum-based feedstocks to produce cleaner transportation fuels. This blending of renewable inputs with conventional fuels is central to our goal of creating a sustainable energy mix for the future.

Join us in making history as we deliver projects that will redefine energy and sustainability for generations to come. If you’re a forward-thinking engineer with a passion for meaningful change, we’d love to have you on board

What you’ll do:

You will demonstrate practical understanding of fundamental engineering or project management principles by using established technical standards, interpretation of regulatory or codified requirements, and interpretation of industry best practices or standards.

  • Collaborate with all the stakeholders, team members, senior management, project owner, project sponsor, etc. to deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Work with Procurement and the Construction Coordinator throughout different phases of the project to ensure project is completed in accordance with project strategy and schedule.
  • Responsible for maintaining cost reports and cash flow for the project along with the overall schedule of the project.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts during all phases of the project while aligning with project goals and objective as well as risk management for projects.
  • Make decisions throughout the different phases of the project, utilizing professional and technical expertise, to ensure project is delivered safely, efficiently and meets stakeholder expectations.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Project Management and:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Systems (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Membership or eligibility for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
  • You are skilled in decision-making, problem-solving, customer service, and communication.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
  • Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
  • As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs.

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process to ensure an enjoyable candidate experience. If you require an accommodation during the recruitment process, we invite you to submit your requests to us via fclhr@fcl.crs. All information received will be kept confidential.

This opportunity will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply.

We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected to continue in the recruitment process will be contacted.

Please note you will be required to comply with the safety sensitive employment conditions in accordance with FCL policies.

FCL embraces diversity and inclusion. We’re working to create a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve and an environment where every team member brings their whole self to work. We believe all candidates should feel at home with us and be given the opportunity to fully participate during the recruitment process.
