Fresh off of a Series A led by tier one investors, we are seeking ambitious professionals to join our high performing team. 

As the VP or  Director, Strategy  you will be the most senior strategy professional in the organization and will report directly to the CEO. You will pursue a wide range of strategic initiatives and opportunities at the frontiers of Hiive’s rapidly growing business. You will investigate new relationships and business lines in a wide range of domains. You will negotiate and secure some of the firm’s most important partnerships and engagements. You will be a strategic extension of the CEO himself.

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 

Work under the CEO’s direction to conceive of, plan and execute Hiive’s strategic plan. 

Identify and research potential partnership channels

Evaluate and negotiate specific partnership opportunities 

Prepare briefs for the CPO and product teams on new product priorities in line with our strategic goals

Ideate and investigate new business lines and channels.

Act as the primary point of contact for key partnership conversations with external partners.

Work the with the VP, Finance, to manage fundraising efforts

Monitor competitors and propose tactical responses to competitive threats.

Work with the Head of Marketing and the Head of Capital Markets to coordinate on short to medium term business initiatives. 

Periodically act as the CEO’s proxy or representative vis a vis internal and external stakeholders 

Eventually, build out and lead the Strategy Team at Hiive.

Ideal Qualifications:

Significant experience in technology, finance, or startups in areas such as corporate development, corporate partnerships, or strategic growth

Background in a relevant professional area including venture capital, OTC markets and market making, strategy consulting (to software businesses), technology investment banking, technology and/or private securities-related legal services, institutional financial services, or related industries.

Experience at a high-growth startup from seed or Series A to Series C or D funding rounds, particularly in a growth, product, strategy, or marketing role.

Finance or operations experience at an OTC market maker. 

Experience with marketplace startups, fintech, or investment technologies. 

Strong quantitative skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
