Due to current growth, the organization is currently looking to secure a Construction Estimator to join our team.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  1. Conducting cost analyses
  2. Preparing estimates
  3. Reviewing project specifications
  4. Coordinating with suppliers
  5. Providing accurate and competitive bids

Attention to detail and a strong understanding of construction materials and methods are essential in this role.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

  1. Assist in the tender and quantity take off process on multiple estimating projects.
  2. Deal directly with subtrades in preparation of tender documents.
  3. Work with the Chief Estimator to close tenders and proposals.
  4. Manage the transition of the successful project estimating to the project management team for execution.
  5. All other responsibilities as required.
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  1. 3 years of estimating experience within the GTA.
  2. Experience estimating projects in the scope of $500K - $1M.
  3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  5. Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
  6. Experience in cost analysis and preparing estimates.
  7. Ability to review and interpret project specifications.
  8. Good communication and negotiation skills.
  9. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  10. Proficiency in construction estimating software.
  11. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  12. Relevant certification or diploma in Construction Management and Estimating.
