About the Company
Forge Recruitment has partnered with a leading fintech credit provider to businesses in Canada. As a Staff Accountant, you will be crucial to our Finance and Accounting team.
About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible with:
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of data input into the accounting system, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, credit card transactions, intercompany transactions, and cash payments.
- Manage and reconcile monthly amortization schedules and internal working papers.
- Provide support for month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Evaluate loan funding requests and validate commission calculations.
- Identify errors and propose methods to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain an electronic filing system to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Manage additional projects and undertake ad-hoc tasks as required.
This role includes a base salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000, along with benefits, 3 weeks of vacation, education and learning benefits, a remote workplace, and additional perks.
What You Bring
To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate should possess at least 3+ years of work experience in accounting and proven success working independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential qualities for this position.
