Junior Maintenance Mechanic - Fort McMurray

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver parts, tools, and equipment to client sites in a safe and courteous manner;
  • Maintain professional behaviour and provide excellent customer service on all customer sites;
  • Assist Mechanics when necessary with installations and service calls;
  • Assist Shop Coordinator with shipping and receiving, shop maintenance, and fleet maintenance;
  • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations while on the road;
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections;
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks and conduct routine vehicle maintenance;
  • Complete daily safety checks and enter parts information;
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communications with clients and co-workers;

Other required duties may be assigned that fall within the parameters of the primary responsibility of the position.

What you bring:

  • 1-2 years of previous delivery experience and previous experience as a labourer is preferred;
  • Forklift certification is an asset;
  • Provability to operate a one-tonne truck or work van;
  • Ability to lift up to75 lbs;
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and willingness to provide a current 3-year driver’s abstract;
  • Proficiency with phone and computer software’s such as GPS, Safety applications and time entry applications;
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and a positive attitude;
  • Knowledge of local and surrounding geographical areas.
