Position Summary:

This is a critical role for ensuring the PFG enterprise network meets business requirements for scalability, performance, security, and resilience. This individual will serve as the in-house expert in enterprise network design, including data center networking, cloud networking, SD-WAN, LAN, and wireless capabilities. The architect should have a solid foundation in zero trust principles and be able to apply them to network constructs. This role will be responsible for helping define and enforce architectural standards, serve on the architecture review board, and act as a point of escalation for network engineers. The Network Architect I works with various stakeholders to ensure the network meets business requirements and constantly looks for areas of improvement. This role also helps architect for scale and is responsible for identifying and driving automation opportunities across the enterprise network to simplify daily operations.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Subject matter expert for network infrastructure, cloud networking, SD-WAN, LAN, and enterprise wireless.
  2. Analyze business requirements to develop architectural patterns and technical network solutions.
  3. Perform network modeling, performance analysis, capacity management, and strategic planning.
  4. Develop technology roadmaps and model lifecycle replacements/changes.
  5. Oversee network documentation such as solution design documents and network diagrams.
  6. Establish standards for network hardware and maintain configuration templates including IP addressing and VLAN design to eliminate configuration errors and streamline deployments.
  7. Leverage partners and OEMs to stay abreast of new technologies and capabilities, introducing them into the environment when/as appropriate.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  1. 7 - 10 Years of experience.
  2. 5+ years of enterprise networking design/build in large, multi-site enterprise.
  3. 5+ years of Cisco network hardware configuration management (routers, switches, VPN/IPSec).
  4. 5+ years leading all Cisco VoIP infrastructure in a large, multi-site enterprise.
  5. 5+ years managing enterprise deployment and support for secure wireless.
  6. 5+ years of TCP/IP, inclusive of LAN and secure WAN design and implementation.
  7. Cisco CCIE-level or equivalent proficiency certification required.
  8. Strong analytical skills with incident and problem management.
  9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including Jira documentation.
  10. Highly collaborative, willing to help colleagues and business partners.
  11. Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, which fosters an enablement culture.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. 5 - 7 Years of experience.
  3. Enterprise network design and configuration management of a highly resilient and secure network.
  4. Datacenter ACI networking.
  5. Cisco CUCM / WebEx Calling.
  6. Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN.
  7. Meraki wireless networking.
  8. Checkpoint VPN configuration and management.
  9. Systems resiliency and integration experience (multi-site, geo-dispersed).
  10. Product roadmap development expertise.
  11. Collaboration platforms expertise (Teams, WebEx).


Preferred Professional Certification(s): Cisco CCNP-level or equivalent proficiency certification.
