Fondamentaux et responsabilités :

  • Gérer et coordonner la réunion quotidienne des contremaîtres.
  • Planifier les activités quotidiennes pour et avec tous les sous-traitants.
  • Créer, gérer et maintenir un calendrier de 3 à 6 semaines, aligné sur le calendrier principal.
  • Aider le chef de projet dans les réunions hebdomadaires avec les sous-traitants.
  • Planifier et mettre en œuvre stratégiquement les niveaux de main-d'œuvre et les quantités de matériaux pour garantir la disponibilité appropriée de l'équipement et des métiers.
  • En collaboration avec le chef de projet/le planificateur, élaborer, maintenir et piloter le calendrier de construction pour garantir que les jalons du projet et les dates de fin sont respectés.
  • Gérer les questions/problèmes qui surviennent sur le site (concernant les plans, les conflits/problèmes/erreurs imprévus).
  • Gérer l'équipe de manœuvres.
  • Maintenir des journaux quotidiens pour suivre avec précision les progrès du site, les événements, les inspections, les conditions météorologiques, les effectifs, les problèmes, etc.
  • Coordination de tous les aspects des activités sur le site.
  • Établir des relations positives avec les métiers, les fournisseurs et les fonctionnaires municipaux pour garantir la coopération et l'efficacité des opérations.
  • Gérer les désaccords/problèmes/conflits entre les métiers.
  • Aider au processus de dessin d'atelier/instructions sur site (revoir et commenter les documents).
  • Aider au registre des risques (fournir des données, des problèmes et des préoccupations pour l'analyse).
  • Gérer et optimiser le temps de grue entre les sous-traitants.
  • Créer, gérer et optimiser le plan logistique du site en tout temps, le réviser périodiquement.
  • Gérer les livraisons sur site.
  • Mener le programme de contrôle de la qualité pour garantir que les projets sont construits conformément aux plans approuvés, aux spécifications, aux dessins d'atelier et aux codes du bâtiment applicables.
  • Aider à la gestion des coordinateurs de projet dans le processus de déficience.
  • Gérer les fermetures d'accès au chantier du projet lorsque nécessaire.
  • Garantir que le site, les activités et toutes les personnes et entreprises sur le site respectent toujours toutes les réglementations en matière de santé et de sécurité au travail.
  • Gérer l'ouverture et la fermeture quotidiennes du site.
  • Gérer les installations sur site (espaces de bureau, salles de repos, etc.).
  • Aider à l'analyse des écarts de portée pour les contrats.
  • Planifier et gérer les inspections avec la municipalité.
  • Vérifier que tous les sous-traitants disposent de tous les permis appropriés (en particulier mécaniques et électriques).

Exigences :

7 à 10 ans d'expérience en supervision de chantier dans un environnement commercial ou résidentiel multifamilial.

L'expérience en résidentiel multifamilial serait un atout.

L'expérience dans les bâtiments de plus de 5 étages serait un atout.

L'expérience du projet devrait être avec des projets d'une valeur comprise entre 20 et 40 millions de dollars.

Compréhension de la législation applicable en matière de santé et de sécurité et de construction.

Fortes compétences interpersonnelles et capacité à diriger les autres et à s'épanouir dans un environnement d'équipe.

Maîtrise de l'email, de MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc., et/ou de logiciels similaires.

Maîtrise des logiciels de gestion de la construction en ligne (comme BuildEnd, Fieldwire, Bim360, ProCore, etc.)

Maîtrise de l'interprétation des dessins et des spécifications.

Capable d'anticiper les problèmes de constructibilité dans des situations modérément complexes et de créer des solutions pour minimiser l'impact sur le calendrier et le budget du projet.

Compréhension solide des pratiques de construction actuelles.

tthorneFundamental & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the daily foreman meeting.
  • Plan daily activities for and with all subtrades.
  • Create, manage, and maintain 3-6 week schedule, which aligns with the master schedule.
  • Assist project manager in weekly subtrade meetings.
  • Strategically plan and implement manpower levels and material quantities to ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required.
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager/scheduler, develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule to ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
  • Manage questions/issues that arise on-site (regarding plans, unforeseen conflicts/problems/errors).
  • Manage labourer team.
  • Maintain daily logs to accurately track site progress, events, inspections, weather conditions, manpower numbers, issues, etc.
  • Coordinate all aspects of site activities.
  • Develop positive relationships with trades, suppliers and city officials to ensure cooperation and efficiency of operations.
  • Manage disagreements/issues/conflicts between trades.
  • Assist with the shop drawings/site instruction process (review and comment documents).
  • Assist with risk registry (providing data, issues, and concerns for analysis).
  • Manage and optimize crane time between subtrades.
  • Create, manage, and optimize site logistics plan at all times, reviewing periodically.
  • Manage on site deliveries.
  • Lead the quality control program to ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes.
  • Assist in managing project coordinators with the deficiency process.
  • Manage project site access closures when required.
  • Ensure the site, activities, and all persons and companies on site always respect all OH&S regulations.
  • Manage the daily opening and closing of the site.
  • Manage on site facilities (office space, break rooms, etc.)
  • Assist with scope gap analysis for contracts.
  • Plan and manage inspections with city.
  • Verify that all subtrades have all appropriate permits (specifically mechanical and electrical)

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of site supervision experience in a commercial or multi-resident environment
  • Experience in multi-residential would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in buildings 5+ stories tall would be considered and asset.
  • Project experience should be with projects ranging in value from $20M to $40M.
  • Understanding of applicable health & safety and construction-related legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to lead others and thrive in a team environment.
  • Proficient with email, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc., and/or similar softwares.
  • Proficient with online cloud construction management software (such as BuildEnd, Fieldwire, Bim360, ProCore, etc.)
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions to minimize the impact on the project schedule and budget.
  • Solid understanding of current construction practices.
  • High standards of ethics, integrity, and safety at all times.
