Location: Toronto, Ontario. (GTA & Surrounding areas)

Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am start time.

Pay Rate: $21.00/hr + $0.61/KM + $10/day for cell phone data usage.

Assignment Information
We are partnered with an organization looking for Merchandisers to complete a round of store visits in the local and surrounding areas. This project could possibly run for about 2 – 4 weeks long.

For this project, we are looking for associates to go into convenience stores and/or gas stations and merchandise the ice cream freezer cabinets. You will first clear away any ice buildup in the freezers and then use Windex to clean the inside and top glass. Once cleaned, follow the plan-o-grams provided, reinstalling the hanging baskets with the correct products (Old products are placed at the bottom of the fridge). Then remove any old stickers and adhere new product stickers to the top of the glass. You will need to use your own mobile phone to complete each visit, our client has an app that you will need to download which gives detailed instructions on each store visit and at the end of each visit you will need to take pictures to document. Our client does pay $10/day for cell phone/data usage.

Areas to cover: Toronto (East), Downtown Toronto, Scarborough, North York, Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Downsview, Pickering.

Job Summary:
Merchandisers are responsible for product appearance and making sure display cases/freezers meet the client's visual and merchandising requirements. These projects often cover a large area and might visit several stores in a day over a 2 to 3-week period.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Visiting different store locations within the region. Introducing yourself to the store employees and why you are there.
  2. Communicating with the client's central dispatch team on store visits and if there are any problems encountered.
  3. Make sure displays meet the client's visual requirements, clearing away any clutter/debris.
  4. Make sure correct products are displayed, placing previous products at the bottom of the freezer.
  5. Clearing away any ice buildup in freezers. Make sure the product is properly displayed and not blocked or covered by ice.
  6. Following plan-o-grams of the product displays and maintaining inventory of products.
  7. Removing and installing new product stickers on the top of the freezers.
  8. Reporting store visits and uploading completed pictures through the mobile app.

Requirements:

  • Previous merchandising experience, using plan-o-grams.
  • Experience using hand tools (rubber mallets, ice chippers, mounting clips for displays)
  • Valid G Class License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Use of personal phone (client will pay a daily data reimbursement of $10/day)
  • Customer service skills
  • Able to work independently and follow specific job directions.
