We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Consultant (CPA) to support a newly acquired client during a critical data migration and financial systems integration phase. This role will focus on ensuring financial data is transitioned accurately and efficiently, with minimal disruption to reporting and business operations. The consultant will work closely with finance, IT, and external stakeholders throughout the integration process.This is a short-term contract (4–6 months) to start, with a hybrid work model requiring 1–2 days onsite in Toronto.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support financial data migration and integration activities following a client acquisitionValidate financial data integrity during system transitions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistencySupport ERP implementation and post-implementation stabilization, including chart of accounts mappingReview, reconcile, and troubleshoot historical and current financial dataPartner with finance, IT, and project teams to identify risks and resolve data issues proactivelyEnsure continuity of financial reporting throughout the integration periodDevelop and execute reconciliation strategies, controls, and documentationProvide subject‑matter expertise on financial reporting standards, controls, and best practicesSupport ad-hoc analysis and executive-level reporting as requiredRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience in financial reporting, controllership, or financial consulting rolesProven experience supporting data integration, system migrations, and ERP implementationsStrong background working with large, complex financial data setsHands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar)Ability to operate in fast-paced, change-driven environments, including M&A or transformation projectsTechnical SkillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups, reconciliations, and data analysisStrong understanding of financial controls, reporting frameworks, and data governanceAbility to translate technical data issues into clear financial and business insights?
