We are looking for Medical Lab Technologist/Senior MLT for our client based out of Ottawa, ON.Role type: Permanent full time Onsite role.Shift: Onsite- Day shift (some overtime required)MLT / Senior MLTYou will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a variety of testing using the latest technology. Your contributions will make a difference – the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.Perform routine testing in Chemistry/Hematology or Histology (as per specific lab’s requirement), including analyzer maintenance, calibration, quality control, and troubleshooting.For Histology lab: perform all aspects of Histology, including grossing specimens, embedding, microtomy, routine and special stainingEnsure all specimens are correctly identified and meet established requirements.Record, interpret, and approve laboratory test results.Maintain quality control standards and conduct routine laboratory equipment maintenance; investigate missing samples as needed.Identify and report incidents and non-conformities.Requirements:Minimum of 3-6 years’ experience as a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist in Chemistry/Hematology or Histology.High level of interpersonal skills, and natural fit within a collaborative working environmentCarry a CMLTO/ CSMLS registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standingProficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate levelSolid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolutionWorking experience in the Chemistry or Hematology field, knowledge and understanding of Diagnostic Accreditation standards is desirable.Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidatesAward-winning employer with impactful career opportunitiesHealth and wellness benefits programInternal mobility opportunitiesRRSP match benefits and employee stock purchase program #J-18808-Ljbffr
