MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Commercial Manager for our client, a top organization known for tackling complex public and private sector projects for over 50+ years.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, review, and negotiate project contracts:
    Including construction and partnership agreements.
  2. Customize contract terms and handle variations:
    Based on specific customer needs.
  3. Review bid packages and RFPs:
    Assist in creating commercial strategies for tenders.
  4. Identify and manage legal and commercial risks:
    Create mitigation plans with project teams.
  5. Handle project-related claims and disputes:
    Work with external legal counsel as needed.
  6. Ensure compliance with contract management policies and legal requirements.
  7. Manage contract administration:
    Including documentation and record-keeping.
  8. Monitor contract performance:
    Identify areas for improvement.
  9. Foster positive relationships with clients, partners, consultants, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in: Construction, engineering, law, business, finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role: Within a medium to large construction or engineering firm.
Knowledge of current construction laws: Proven risk management skills.
Strong: Attention to detail, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience with contract negotiations: Knowledge of CCDC and CCA contracts.
Project management experience: With both public and private infrastructure projects is an asset.
