Perkins & Will is looking for a transit architect who perform in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the building design process, including preparation of presentation materials, schematic design, design development and contract documents, model building, rendering and construction administration activities within an established budget, schedule, site and programmatic requirements. As an Architect III with the Perkins and Will team, you will: Demonstrate advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.Develops creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.Coordinatesdrawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.Analyzes product research and identifies material selections.Takes an active role in crafting client and non-client design presentations and prepares corresponding materials.Implements a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects, within the scope of scheduleand budget,in an organized, timely, and consistent way.Reviewswork for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.Supports growth of others.Expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.Takes increasing ownership on tasks within project teams and studio activities.Participates in design reviews, charettes and pin-ups.Keeps open communication within team and with designated team leader.Communicates ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others.Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants. Our Studio: We are steps away from many amenities and also easily accessible by bike, public transportation and car. The studio is open concept and represents our collaborative approach to our work.
