The opportunity:

The DevOps team is focused on optimizing the flow of delivery, and is involved in the following areas:

  • Support product development and operations teams by developing a consistent installation anddeployment process to ensure a stable and reliable state for production systems
  • Understanding development and operations needs, produce solutions that support new features and enable increased development and deployment velocity through process and automation
  • Improve the reliability of our infrastructure through design, monitoring and optimization
  • Help engineers troubleshoot issues and collaborate on solutions
  • Education and sharing of DevOps best practices throughout the wider organization
  • Deploy, run, monitor and administer cloud native applications

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the build and deployment infrastructure, maintain stability and uptime
  • Administration of Azure DevOps and security tooling as part of CI/CD and SSDLC
  • Coach, mentor and develop teammates to help them excel and reach their full potential
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team that is focused on delighting clients
  • Identify and promote areas for growth and improvement within the team
  • Collaborate with other teams to define and prioritize tasks for the team
  • Manage the backlog in collaboration with the team and other stakeholders
  • Champion the adoption of an Agile and DevSecOps mindset

The typical hiring range for this position is from $140,000 CAD to $160,000 CAD annually. The salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and perks as a part of our compensation package.

  • You have previous experience with people management and leading a team
  • You have experience with running cloud native applications
  • You can work across the organization, influencing beyond your direct responsibilities
  • You have proven experience driving organizational changes related to DevOps
  • You have hands-on experience with hyperscaler environments such as AWS and Azure, including container orchestration
  • You have a proven track record of managing stakeholder expectations
  • You are familiar with all aspects of the software release cycle
  • You enjoy contributing to a happy, high-functioning team, bringing attributes such as teamwork, empathy, respect, courtesy & discretion
