Draftsperson Level: PWU Band 3 Hourly Rate: $35 - 49/hour Duration: 12 months Hours of work: 40 Location: 1269 Premier Way, Thunder Bay Job Overview Prepare all types of electrical/mechanical drawings and sketches for equipment and systems in a Thermal generating station for work protection drawings (WPC) utilizing AutoCAD technology.Participate in walk-downs of the plant to ensure configuration management is supported.Vectorize existing hand-drawn (raster) WPC drawings to new ESM3R StandardUpdate existing drawings (vector) to new standard which involves updating of the symbology and adding attributes.Qualifications Mechanical Or Electrical Technician/TechnologistMin 2 years (4,000 hours) drafting experience required; 5-8 years within Power Generation/industrial setting, preferred.Proficient with AutoCAD and Raster DesignRequires a general knowledge of the various functional relationships associated with a multi-discipline drawing office. However, a thorough understanding of the interface with mechanical design or electrical design is deemed necessary and a less thorough understanding of the interfaces with other common design disciplines.Comprehensive knowledge of the use of AutoCAD and Raster Design.
