Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. As an Electrical Engineer in Kincardine, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit.

Your work will include:

  1. Under general supervision, performs varied and difficult engineering tasks requiring application of established techniques and procedures.
  2. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under the direction of more experienced staff.
  3. Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing, and maintaining structures, systems, and components.
  4. Performs routine and non-routine engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, and resolution of field problems.
  5. Ensures compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards.
  6. Builds knowledge of organization processes and customers.
  7. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

I&C Engineering Core Skills:

  • Control logic, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams
  • Instrument Selection and Calibration Specifications

Electrical Engineering Core Skills:

  • Power distribution, Motor Control Centers and Switchgear, High Voltage Systems and Equipment Design
  • Lighting design, Lightning protection, Grounding
  • Battery and UPS sizing and design
  • Use of engineering analysis software such as ETAP

This position requires up to 25% travel.
