Municipal Engineer-In-Training

The Opportunity:
WSP currently seeking for an Engineer-in-Training for our municipal group. This position is based in our Edmonton office, reporting to the Manager, Northern Alberta and Indigenous. This position will be responsible to work on municipal projects with a focus on public clients involving water and wastewater systems, storm water management, municipal roads, and land development.

A day in the life:
- Preliminary and Detailed Design of civil works for water supply systems, sanitary sewers, and storm water systems including linear works, valves chambers, and pump stations;
- Construction services including site inspection and contract administration;
- Ability to travel across Alberta and on occasion remote locations;
- Client management;
- Proposal development; and
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university;
- 1+ year of experience in a consulting environment on municipal design projects will be asset;
- Eligibility for registration in APEGA is required;
- Previous success in customer services, client management and proposal/report writing is an asset; and
- Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and teamwork skills.
