Overview
Our government client is in search of an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide vital support to the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE) team. This role will specifically entail serving as an Engineering Flight Test Rationalization (EFTR) Initiative Coordinator, contributing to the enhancement of Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment operations.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a technical discipline such as aviation, science, or engineering.
- Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in managing large projects (over $25 million) encompassing military, aviation, and infrastructure components. This includes responsibilities for developing project documentation, risk mitigation plans, project budgets, and progress reports for senior management.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least six out of ten program management activities, within a large organizational setting, involving departments, agencies, or crown corporations.
- Minimum of five projects involving strategic advisory to Federal Government Department Senior Officials (Director, Director General, Assistant Deputy Minister, Chief Financial Officer, or equivalents).
- Experience working within the Department of National Defence for at least five years.
- Review and amend the EFTR Master Implementation Plan and Concept of Operations as needed.
- Provide guidance to subject matter experts (SMEs) in executing the EFTR Master Implementation Plan.
- Employ project management best practices to manage the EFTR Initiative, focusing on scope, cost, schedule, risk, and communications management.
- Offer specialized input for Request for Proposals (RFPs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and contractual documentation.
- Participate in review meetings, providing advice and solutions to EFTR management, including the AETE Commanding Officer and the Director General Aerospace Equipment and Program Management.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding EFTR-related matters.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and contract reports to document work performed and provide recommendations.
- Participate in periodic reviews and revisions of existing MOUs between various entities, ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements and offering recommendations to AETE leadership.
- Coordinate support for AETE personnel operating out of different locations.
- Perform any necessary Project Manager services as outlined in the Task and Solutions Professional Services (TSPS) Supply Arrangement.
