Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Helper I - Mechanic on a temporary basis up to 12 months at the Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina, SK.

Shift: 4 days on, then 3 days off -37.33 Hours/week

What you’ll do:

You will install and repair refinery mechanical equipment. You will efficiently carry out Trade duties in the Mechanic Trade Section and perform other duties as assigned of a comparable or lesser degree of responsibility. Duties include, but are not limited to, the maintenance and repair of compressors, pumps, and other rotating equipment, as well as mobile equipment, trucks, and high-speed packaging equipment.

The Team: You will work closely with other Tradespersons across the Maintenance Department and will report into the Trades Supervisor.

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:

  • You must follow the CCRL “Work-Safe” Approach. Completion of Grade XII including Chemistry 30, Physics 30, and Math/Algebra 30 is required. If the candidate is missing one of these three classes, the application will be accepted provided the missing class is completed within a prescribed time period. Applications from candidates who do not possess technical qualifications (ex. education, tickets) required for the position as of the closing date of application will not be accepted.
  • You must have superior mechanical aptitude, the physical capability to perform heavy work associated with the position and demonstrated ability in the performance of semi-skilled maintenance work. The person appointed to this position will be required to undertake the applicable training programs to qualify for advancement.
