Job Description:

Senior Contracts and Procurement Specialist (Hybrid) from the Company Irving Oil. This position is open to job seekers with a Bachelor Degree.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for the Information and Technology category.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives, procure assets, and manage supplier contracts, relationships, and performance.
  • Manage the strategic sourcing process, including RFx initiatives, proposal evaluations, negotiation strategies, contract negotiations, execution, and maintenance.
  • Facilitate internal Total Cost of Ownership reduction initiatives and identify savings opportunities.
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships, including the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist with mentoring junior and intermediate members of the team.
  • Identify issues, conduct analyses, and develop proposals.

Your Skills:
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and contracts.
  • Ability to develop strategic visions and create plans for implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost modeling skills.
Your Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in business or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing IT contracts.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
