We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Front-End developer to join the Botpress team and build the future of AI Agents. With over 350,000 users since last year's launch, come join a fast-growing startup. The person were seeking is obsessed with details, always keeps the end-user (developers) in mind, and has a deep understanding of web application development. Senior engineers can jump into a codebase without too much mentorship and take ownership of a project from inception to production. Autonomy and creativity are super important in our teams; engineers are often left to themselves to solve challenging problems.


Responsibilities

  • Own the products and understand the requirements to ensure fast and accurate development of new or better features.
  • Work with the core engineering team to develop & maintain the Botpress Platform.
  • Be the platform expert, knowing all the ins and outs of Botpress as a whole, and guide customers to build great conversational AI experiences.
  • Write unit and end-to-end tests for mission-critical features
  • Clean up technical debt while keeping a forefront view
  • Get in touch with the community and come up with new ideas to make the Botpress Studio and our other products a success
  • Build tools, write sample code, and contribute to product development to resolve user issues
  • Contribute to product documentation
  • Improve the UX and the design of the platform


Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software development or programming in a similar environment, including Typescript, React.js, Node, PostgreSQL, Redis
  • A minimum of 5+ years of Front end programming experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (French is an advantage)
  • A deep interest in AI Agents, voice- and chat-based user experiences
  • Well-organized, excellent work ethic, pays attention to detail, and self-starting
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup and passionate about improving technical abilities
  • A strong passion for UX and software design
