Position summary

The Contract Manager is responsible for managing the company's contracts. They examine, negotiate and prepare contracts for the company, suppliers and/or customers. They review contracts to ensure that they comply with all company policies, regulations and laws, and to analyze potential risks associated with signing certain contracts. 

 

Responsabilities

  • Lead, draft and manage contracts, in accordance with company policies and internal and external customer requests, schedules, and specifications to achieve business objectives 
  • Prepare documentation for contract negotiations with aircraft customers and operators. 
  • Ensure all contract details align with federal, state, and local laws, as well as cooperate guidelines, policies, objectives, and goals 
  • Identify, codify and deploy contracting best practices across agreement types (e.g., customer contracts, supplier agreements, etc.) 
  • Monitor contracts, and moving forward with extension, close-out, or renewals 
  • Draft responses to contract bids, negotiations, and proposals 
  • Review existing contracts to locate any potential breaches and to add updates as requested by signers 
  • Write and send requests for proposals to potential vendors 
  • Add improvements to existing company contract policies to ensure compliance and reduce any potential risks 

SKILLS PROFILES AND QUALIFICATIONS 

Education/ Experience/ Certification 

  • Professional degree in law, administration, business (a degree in the paralegal field may also be considered) 
  • Experience in contract drafting and management 
  • Experience negotiating with customers and suppliers 
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPCM) is highly desirable 

 

Knowledge 

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
  • Strong writing skills and knowledge of language 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Bilingualism (French and English) – oral and written. 

 

Required abilities 

  •  Experience working with diverse groups of people to manage and inspire change. 
  • Versatility and flexibility; 
  • Rigor, concern for excellence and attention to detail; 
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. 
  • Ability to manage aggressive timelines
