Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well. About The Role No insurance experience is necessary for this role. We provide and pay for all training to become a licensed insurance broker in our Oakville branches. Once you’re done training, you’ll be on your way to helping people protect what’s most important to them. We are looking for a Personal Insurance Advisor (Sales) to join BrokerLink and work out of our Oakville Branch on a Permanent (FT) Basis. You’ll work in a supportive call center setting, where you’ll provide insurance advice to our valued clients, assisting with quotes, policy updates and coverage questions. What You’ll Do Here Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business Service on-going client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls and process renewals Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters and receive walk-in clients Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and review renewals Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes Actively participate in training initiatives Participate in community marketing initiatives Process Account Receivable activities Provide guidance and assistance as requested What You Bring To The Table High School or equivalent Experience working with Sales targets/KPA’s Experience in a Call Centre Exposure to Epic is an asset Strong customer focus Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working Schedule Includes The successful candidate will participate in an 8-week Foundations training program, working Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Upon successful completion of the training program, the role will transition to a 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST shift, Monday to Friday and 9am-4pm. EST shift on Saturday. After one year in the role, there is a possibility to transition to an earlier shift, such as 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, based on business needs and performance.
