TitleSenior Electrical Estimator – Full Time Mon to Fri 37.5 hours

Reports ToVP of Estimating

• Youthful and energetic with minimum 6 -10 years Estimating experience • Ready and interested in taking next step

• Provide an example of professionalism as a responsible and goal-oriented team player

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimate for tender

• Preparing electrical budgets based on outlines and preliminary information

• Prepare spreadsheet and analyze supplier/subcontractor quotes

• Contact suppliers and sub trades to ensure best pricing

• Review and confirm estimate information prior to closing

• Contribute to pre-tender strategy meetings

• Analyzing tender documents and contractual obligations

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with Developers, General Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers in the industry

• Actively seeking out new opportunities, projects and clients

• Obtain feedback and results of quotations from clients

• Be accountable for results and outcomes

• Provide maintenance and updating historical estimate data base as well as estimating software and databases

• Provide leadership mentoring, training and assistance for new and existing estimating staff in procedures and best methods

Requirements• Outstanding sales, marketing and network skills

• Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices and standards

• Knowledge and experience with Accubid estimating software

• Excellent critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Superior organization abilities

• engineering skills an asset
