Job Title: Accounting Technician
We are looking for competent and experienced Accounting Technician / Juniour Accountant to provide accounting expertise to the Company’s business. The successful candidates will be determined by their experience and attitude toward working in a fast-paced environment. Accounting degree / diploma is required for this position along with two or more years of experience. Additionally we are seeking team players an undeterred drive as a fit with our corporate culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide some idea of the tasks you may be performing, a list of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Plan, set up and administer accounting systems
- Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
- Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
- Prepare reports and audit findings
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
- Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements
- Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
- Prepare remittances from accounting records
- Analyze financial documents and reports
- Examine accounting records
- Provide financial, business and tax advice
- Other accounting requirements as determined by the accounting manager
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements and qualifications for this position are a combination of skills and attitude:
- Must have a diploma in an accounting program
- Must be working towards a CPA designation
- Must be have 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting
- Must have 1+ years of Yardi Voyager experience
