As a newly established business division of AXA XL Americas, our Middle Markets business focuses on the expansion of AXA XL’s current offerings to Middle Market clients in the Commercial P&C market in Canada. You will set strategy and direction for the team in support of the Region’s and broader organization’s goals around Industry and geographic segmentation, Pricing and Underwriting Guidelines, Distribution Strategy, and Product offering. In this role, the leader will partner with the US Middle Market division to identify, analyze and ultimately launch AXA XL Middle Market offering.

It will be supported by regional and global functions teams. Successful candidates will work closely with Legal/Compliance, Strategy, Pricing, Data/Analytics, Claims and Distribution leads.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
  • Closely collaborate with the Head of US Middle Markets to develop products and establish a Middle Markets presence in the industry
  • Develop Pricing Models for the products, together with our Pricing Actuaries
  • Drive the distribution and marketing strategy.
  • Leading all underwriting operations across an integrated insurance company with an extensive network, working in collaboration with colleagues across the Americas region to bring Middle Market products to market, and seeking to ensure profitably and growth.
  • Creating and executing appropriate underwriting governance maintained through referral structure, policies, procedures, reviews, audits, and training.
  • Promoting the professional growth of a diverse and engaged underwriting community, while planning effectively to maintain the organization’s business continuity goals.
You will report to Head of Middle Market, Americas.
