Job Description:
The Business Analyst will be a key member of Digital Grounds’ Data Migration services team, supporting the business with tasks such as client and data review, pre-migration planning, data mapping, and other related activities. The role involves working directly with clients to understand their business operations and requirements, and developing / confirming data mapping and transformation rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with client SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to develop a clear understanding of their business operations, their source data, and the migration project as a whole
- Liaising with clients, often as the data migration team key point of contact
- Mapping data from source systems to target systems
- Performing research and analyses to establish migration plans
- Completing technical documentation including test scripts, data dictionaries, and test / validation instructions
- Adhering to deadlines and project guidelines
- Conducting reviews and assessments to identify and solve issues
- Producing progress reports
- Interpreting, analyzing and drawing meaningful conclusions from datasets, large and small
- Planning, implementing, and managing varying forms of data for organizations, particularly streams moving between disparate systems
- Writing data dictionaries, test scripts, instructional material, etc.
Qualifications:
Digital Grounds is looking for a candidate who understands basic business operations and terminology, and can professionally communicate with clients both verbally and in writing. The ideal candidate can also manage business meetings effectively and stay on task during projects. She or he knows how to manage their own time, has good attention to detail, and is a fantastic team player.
Required: BA, BSci or equivalent
Required: Strong communicator
Experience with data, business analysis a plus
