We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Global Wealth Management Technology (GWMT) – we develop and modernize technology that powers the Global Wealth Management business lines. GWMT consists of many departments with high-performing agile teams working closely to deliver, support, and maintain the many applications and ecosystems within Global Wealth.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  1. Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  2. Apply your development experience to deliver microservices in the cloud (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
  3. Project implementations and application integration.
  4. Technical documentation of the solution.
  5. Support production issues and handle escalations during Release cycles as needed.
  6. Mentor and guide team members in technical knowledge with best coding practices.
  7. Troubleshoot technical issues to identify the root cause of the problem.
  8. Provide expert advice to key stakeholders.
  9. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  10. Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  1. At least 7 years of work experience as a Java developer.
  2. Experience building scalable, enterprise-level technology stacks with Java, SOAP, and JSON but ideally with a broad set of tools.
  3. Experience in application architecture and API design.
  4. Proficiency in building Microservices and Spring Boot.
  5. Experience with Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.
  6. Experience working with all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  7. Proficiency with Unix Tools, shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.), SQL queries, PL/SQL, and SQL Loader - or equivalent.
  8. Experience in developing security systems and analyzing the current systems for vulnerabilities.
  9. Experience in version control and build tools, like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven.
  10. A well-rounded knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments.
  11. Solid understanding of wealth management concepts and workflows.
