Randstad is proud to support one of Canada's best-known companies to fulfill important roles in their East Coast operation You are an experienced Civil Estimator known for your work ethic, proposals consistent standards and efficient coordination of key proposal inputs such as scope, costs, engineering requirements, examples of previous projects, and other information required to respond to bids or requests for proposals.

Are you familiar with managing the bid process including initiating bid kick-off meetings with internal stakeholders, responding to pre-qualifications, RFQs, RFPs and preparing bid for General Manager’s review and approval? Don't wait any longer, this opportunity is for you

Responsibilities

As a Civil Estimator, you will:

  1. Coordinate resources to ensure all bids are submitted on time and are of consistent quality.
  2. Prepare contract briefing sheets so important contract compliance items are summarized and communicated to Operations.
  3. Interact with team members on pricing exercises.
  4. Document customer requirements, working with internal departments, and create proposals to meet requirements.
  5. Maintain strong internal relationships to gather relevant, accurate information.
  6. Calculate quantities and take-offs.
  7. Request pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers.
  8. Prepare big bond and insurance requests for contracts.
  9. Update and maintain contract and customer files.
  10. Organize bid submission reviews.
Qualifications

What are the qualifications required to apply as Civil Estimator in New Brunswick?

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
  2. 5+ years of relevant experience with estimating, bid management, and contract management.
  3. Experience in the Construction industry.
  4. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including meeting facilitation.
  5. Proficiency with estimating systems including Bid2Win, as well as MS Office.
