We’re Tovanah Analytics, a data analytics SaaS provider, transforming the way healthcare organizations use data with our innovative platform. Our mission is to empower clinics with advanced analytics that drive better decision-making.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our data engineering team. As one of our first software developer hires, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our technology and building the foundation for scalable, impactful products. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the founding team, make critical technical decisions, and leave your mark on a product that will change the healthcare landscape.

Reporting to the CTO, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in data warehousing, and proficiency in BI tools, data visualizations, and SQL queries and schemas.

If you’re ready to take on a challenge and create something truly meaningful, we’d love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Gather and analyze business requirements to design BI solutions.
    • Develop, maintain, and manage reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or custom analytics).

    • Develop optimized and efficient SQL queries to extract and transform data.
    • Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators to build and maintain efficient data pipelines.
    • Optimize and troubleshoot BI solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with business stakeholders, such as finance, marketing, and operations teams, to understand their reporting needs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in BI deliverables.
    • Provide technical support and training to business users to help them utilize BI tools effectively.
  • Data Quality & Governance:
    • Ensure that BI solutions adhere to data governance standards and best practices.
    • Monitor data quality and collaborate with teams to resolve data-related issues.
    • Ensure compliance with company data security policies and practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, data visualization, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience in database schemas, data modeling, ETL development, and database querying.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, and PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with SQL query performance and optimization is a plus.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics techniques.
