The Mercedes-Benz Cars Purchasing & Supplier Quality (MP) division is responsible for procuring production materials and ensuring supplier quality for Mercedes-Benz AG. Innovation, top quality, and sustainability are critical success factors for MP.
As a member of the MP department, you will play a vital role in procuring and ensuring the quality of production materials for a leading automotive company.
A day in the life
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the company, managing communications with potential partners, stakeholders, and project participants.
- Define clear project objectives in line with the company’s goals and develop detailed project plans.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify and evaluate current trends in digital and sustainability technologies.
- Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration by working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Lead project teams, ensuring that all aspects of the project are handled efficiently.
- Ensure that all project goals and milestones are met, delivering high-quality results.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for management, detailing project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Lead negotiations for partnerships, investments, and other collaborative efforts.
- Finalize contracts and agreements that govern collaborative ventures.
- Support the integration of new technologies, products, or services from start-ups.
Qualifications
Mercedes-Benz Star skills, requirements & traits:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Project Management, Technology, Business Development, Startups or Consulting.
- Proven experience in planning, executing, and monitoring projects within schedule and budget.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of commitment and the ability to work independently.
- Bold, innovative, and enjoy challenging yourself.
