The right candidate brings all of the above and has proven experience managing projects and people, with the following skills and experience:

·         Excellent leadership and communication

·         Bachelor degree or diploma in construction / Project Management or equivalent experience.

·         Min. 5 years experience working in landscape construction

·         Min. 2 years experience working as a PM in a construction related field

·         Can read and interpret Landscape, Architectural, and Civil drawings, specifications, and details

·         A thorough understanding of industry materials and products, installation methods, and industry best practices

·         Highly proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)

·         Ability to estimate time and material for projections and for change orders.

·         Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients, suppliers, management and staff at all levels of the business

·         Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet the needs of several projects/teams

·         Proven sense of urgency and ability to work effectively to deadlines

·         Experience managing, training and supervising staff, and building a cohesive and high performing team

·         Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

·         Ability to respond to escalated inquiries, complaints and feedback from customers, vendors or employees.

·         Must have valid Class 5 drivers license

Lower Mainland Project Managers will manage sites located on the North Shore from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay, All over Vancouver, and in Burnaby – we occasionally will work in Coquitlam or Richmond but that’s not too common.
