The Opportunity:

ML6 Search + Talent Advisory is thrilled to support one of our amazing clients in their search for a Director of Operations, to serve as a pivotal figure providing essential team development and direction, as they continue on their path to becoming an industry leader.

Our client is located in Woodstock, ON, and has developed an incredible reputation within the Office Furniture industry, throughout North America.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities to streamline current processes.
  • Anticipate and track operational and tactical risks and provide strategic solutions.
  • Manage day to day business of the operations department while balancing the responsibilities of various business lines such as business analysis, vendor, and risk management.
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, project status reporting, and implementing change control processes.
  • Work closely with CEO on other special planning and departmental projects.
  • Oversee and reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics.
  • Collaborate with other back-office team members to ensure seamless business execution, reinforce positive morale, and uphold company values.
  • Focus on purchasing oversight, inventory planning and oversee warehouse efficiency
  • Manage Operational budgets and forecast
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards success.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively, securing beneficial agreements for the organization.
  • Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
  • Commercial Furniture Operations experience an asset with a deep understanding of Commercial Furniture Industry best practices including but not limited to Delivery, Packaging, Quality, and Repair
  • Ability to travel (international) to meet with suppliers
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities
