Tasks:
  1. Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
  2. Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
  3. Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance
  4. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
  5. Assess business opportunities and develop strategies
  6. Develop risk management plans
  7. Leading/instructing groups

Supervision: 11-15 people

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses:
  1. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  2. Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP)
  4. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
