THE ROLE The Museum Gift Shop Clerk operates a cash register, maintains a float, receives payment by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit and performs refunds, voids, and returns, as necessary. They maintain inventory, track purchases and sales and assist in the display of merchandise. They prepare reports from manual or electronic files, inventories, mailing lists or databases.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
Experience
In maintaining inventory
In cash handling
In basic accounting principles and practices
In office administration
In using a Point of Sale (POS) system
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS English Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Minimum hours 9:45 to 3:45 Saturdays and Sundays with additional hours available throughout the week based on operational requirements.
