Sr/ Lead Devops Engineer

Our client, a leading media company in Canada, is seeking a Devops Engineer to join their team. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of their infrastructure. You will lead a team of talented engineers, driving best practices in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code. This is a permanent role and will be hybrid (2-3 days) in downtown Toronto. Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure using Terraform.Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools in Python to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and robust monitoring systems.Oversee the deployment and management of applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices and tools across the organization.Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our infrastructure current and robust.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.8 years of overall experience; Minimum of 2 years experience leading teams in a DevOps or similar capacity.Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.Strong communication and leadership skills.Experience working in media companies or streaming services is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.Understanding of network protocols and security practices.Apply today to get the conversation started.
