This opportunity is for the Ottawa Region as we're looking for Associate Optometrists for our currently established practices.

This is a partnership with Costco for an associate independent optometrist to work within the location as a business within a business.

About Our Practice

Great location in a great area State of the art equipment. Looking to build a practice in a very successful Costco. Built in retail traffic. Turn-key operation with no upfront costs for equipment. Costco handles all furnishings and maintenance of equipment.

Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams
  • Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
  • Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
  • Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
  • Handle eye care emergencies
  • Other eye care services as permitted under your Provincial Licensing
  • A strong drive to grow your own business while working with the Optical Department

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Valid provincial license to practice optometry
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
  • Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
