About the Role:

Position: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Avionics

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME E) will perform work and be ready to sign a Maintenance Release for their work. The employee shall be the holder of a Transport Canada AME license, appropriately rated. The AME shall have demonstrated acceptable levels of knowledge of the AMO and its Quality Program and have been issued an ACA Authorization to sign a maintenance release in respect to work performed on aeronautical products.

Duties include:
  1. Performance of work, up to and including certification with approved processes
  2. Reporting any un-airworthy conditions discovered (including challenging working conditions)
  3. Utilizing certified/calibrated standard measuring and test equipment
  4. Familiarization with L3 MAS Policies and Processes
  5. Marshalling, fueling and towing of aircraft
  6. Maintaining a clean work area
  7. Assuming responsibility for his work as indicated by his signature/stamp
  8. Performing duties such as repair, modification and maintenance of aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance procedures
  9. Familiarisation of the MPM and related processes
  10. Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety regulations at all times
  11. Ability to travel on board to aircraft to service and carry out repairs as needed throughout the world
  12. Complete all assigned training and tasks on time
  13. Participating in the Safety Management System Program Committee on Aircraft, if requested
Required Skills and Experience:

You must hold an AME E license and have qualifications on A330 heavy aircraft; and Minimum of 5 years experience on A330 aircraft. Have a positive attitude and be able to work well in a team environment. Ability to be productive and multi-task in a demanding work environment. Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program; Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and/or Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
