Commissioning Engineer

Reporting to the MEP Manager, the Commissioning Engineer shall be responsible for but not limited to the following.
Role and General Responsibilities
- Co-ordinating testing and commissioning activities and providing feedback on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation.
- Producing and assisting in the production of all tests and commissioning documentation.
- Document test results and update metrics accordingly to show daily progress.
- Participate in integration activity under supervision of Manager.
- Participate in commissioning strategy meetings led by Manager.
- Ensures the quality, security and suitability of all work performed.
- Verify that test and commissioning report and plan are in accordance with the contract specifications.
- Supporting safety team for the validation of the mitigation coming from Hazard log and requirements.
- Undertake test and commissioning activities in line with the contract requirements.
- Provides design review for all TPSS, TPS, Stations and Facilities Engineering Office projects to ensure the integration of electrical design with safety, architectural, information technology, mechanical, communications, civil along with other relevant specialized design aspects.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- +5 years of experience in commissioning for system engineering
- Experience in D&B Railway or subway or LRT projects.
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) licensed in Ontario.
- Must have experience with commissioning and safety certifications of systems on major infrastructure projects.
